Light in the Apartment

A small tool for a first conversation with a window: when direct sun enters the room and how deep daylight reaches. Calculated from the city’s latitude, the window orientation and the room dimensions.

Tool

Light in your room

Choose the city, the direction the window faces, the height of the window head and the room depth — I will show when direct sun enters the room in each season and how far daylight reaches.

Solar time (noon = sun due south); wall clocks differ by 1–2 hours. Surroundings (buildings, trees) are not taken into account. Depth rule: daylight works to roughly twice the window-head height.
