Apartment and House Interior Design in St Petersburg
A city where the historic housing stock and a new-build on reclaimed land meet in one practice. I work here: surveys, visits, supervision — in person.
What the city dictates
The historic stock means height, mouldings, windows onto a courtyard well and services that cannot be touched without a project. A new-build means an open plan, low ceilings and full-height glazing. These are different tasks solved differently, but the principle is one: light and proportion first, the object last.
In old buildings I keep what makes an apartment Petersburgian and remove whatever stops it from breathing. In new-builds I structure the space from scratch, so a standard shell becomes a home.
How I work in St Petersburg
The first meeting is at your site. I take the measurements myself and run site supervision with regular visits. The project is legible to any builder — the choice of contractor remains yours; I will help with the search if needed.
