Café, Restaurant and Office Interior Design
A public interior is economics: seats, footfall, wear of materials, light for the task. And at the same time an atmosphere people return for. I design both.
Experience
I began with public interiors — coffee houses, bars, lounges; later a children’s centre and an office floor for a large retail company with break areas, a conference room, a canteen and a staff gym. Residential work came afterwards.
What matters in a public space
The plan is calculated: how many seats, how guests and staff move, where storage and the kitchen are. Materials are chosen for footfall and cleaning, light for the task of each zone. Atmosphere is built from the same three things as at home: light, proportion, material.
I work with the owner and, where needed, with the contractor and engineers — so the project is not only beautiful but buildable within budget and time.
